Europoltech, 17th 19th April 2013, Warsaw
On 17th – 19th 2013, the International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Europoltech 2013 took place at the Warsaw International Expocentre.
EUROPOLTECH is a highly specialised event and as such is open to professionals – officers of the police services and civil or military national security services. Invitations to visit the trade show are extended to the executive staff, officer corps and experts from all the police and national security services. The exhibition is also visited by lawmakers and public administration officers who deal with security issues, as well as by the 6th International Police Conference participants, including multiple foreign delegations.
INDECT team led by Profesor Andrzej Dziech had the opportunity to present their research results and achievements in the field of remote sensing systems and image processing.
At the fair there was also an exhibition where major results of the project INDECT were presented.
These have included:
- The detection of counterfeits in digital images – MITIS,
- The integrated mobile surveillance system – MOBIS,
- Intelligent multimedia search - INACT
- Quality Assessment for Recognition Tasks – QART
- Acoustic-visual Remote Observation System
The video analytics systems can be useful in case of such events or circumstances which took place in Boston few days ago.
The fair was also a great opportunity to participate in project meetings, addressing the safety aspects of the ICT conference held under the auspices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy. In the opinion of the participants Europoltech 2013, was a very interesting and well organized event. Fair attracted wide interest: more than 100 domestic and foreign exhibitors, representatives of major special services, invited guests and a large number of participants took part in Europoltech fairs.
