INDECT at Science Festival in Krakow
One of the technologies developed by the INDECT project has been
presented during the annual Science Festival in Kraków. The 4-day event took place between May 11, and May 14.
"We have created a system which makes people in the video sequence anonymous. It is based on the dynamic face detection" - says Pawel Korus, a PhD student from the Department of Telecommunications, AGH University of Science and Technology. As soon as the system detects a predefined shape, it tracks it and notifies the user on the screen. This technology can be used to protect privacy in urban monitoring systems.
It was the first public demonstration of this technology.
