INDECT Project at the Conference of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security, Jurata, 14-19 September,2010
In the period from 2010-09-14 to 2010-09-16, the INDECT project presented results after 20 months of work. The presentation took place on the occasion of a conference organized by Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPBW), and dedicated to deployments in the economy and the commercialization of innovative technologies in the area of security. The conference took place in Jurata, Poland. Presentation was made by professor dr hab. eng. Andrzej Dziech, INDECT Project Coordinator. The presentation received great appreciation of PPBW Coordinator, due to positive results of the first tests of the INDECT project prototypes, carried out by the police.
Polish Platform for Homeland Security is a scientific network, which was established in 2005 as one of the 28 technology platforms supervised by the (Polish) Council of Ministers and initiated by the European Commission. The PPBW tasks involve creating the advanced, integrated technology and IT tools as well as supporting the activities of judiciary bodies and law enforcement for public safety. PPBW allows for closer cooperation between the sectors of science, research/development and education in the field of security.
