netWORKs 2012, Mini-Symposium and KRAB’s General Assembly
On 5th-6th June in Krakow, as the event accompanying the Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE Conference 2012), the netWORKs 2012 conference was held, which is devoted to building advantage in managing research projects and commercialization of research results through a network of cooperation. It was organized by the Krakow University of Economics in collaboration with the Education for Entrepreneurship Association, the National Contact Point for EU Research Project and the National Council for EU Research Project Coordinators (KRAB).
On 5th June, after the registration of participants and welcoming guests, the panel session was held concerning ‘The importance of project management research in the creation of the Innovation Union'. On 6th June, 3 panel sessions were organized, regarding the issues like ‘Challenges for Research Promotion Centers in scientific institutions’, ‘The participation and perspectives of the research project managers and coordinators according to the network of cooperation’ and ‘Creating the Central Office for Research Promotion’.
After the conference, in the afternoon, the Mini-Symposium and General Assembly of the Association of the National Council for EU Research Project Coordinators were held. Symposium and the Assembly were open to public for all those interested in EU projects. During the Symposium the main coordinator of INDECT Project, professor Andrzej Dziech, gave presentation concerning the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union. Professor presented the main objectives of INDECT project, the purpose of developed algorithms and the tools and procedures for the protection of personal data and the rights of citizens. During the General Assembly, after reading the statements, the following issues were discussed: the changes in financing and accounting the EU Projects by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, taxes on income obtained during EU projects, EU projects and parametric evaluation of the Institute and Faculty and KRAB’s team for consultancy and EU project management.
