Node Station Programming Summer Internship
The main purpose was to help INDECT developers learn how to efficiently use the Node Station and data processing framework that is developed by GUT, in the mode of interactive communication with the framework developers. Additionaly, the Internship offered the developers the possibility to get acquainted with the Node Station framework in order to improve the development of INDECT-related algorithms. Moreover, this internship improved the co-operation and synchronization within the INDECT Project. Accordingly, the teams developing certain parts of the module will no longer duplicate the work done by other researchers before.
The partner institutions that attended the internship are listed below:
- Gdansk University of Technology;
- AGH - University of Science and Technology;
- Poznan University of Technology;
- Fachhochschule Technikum Wien.
The internship consisted of presentations, practical exercises and various tutorials providing fundamental knowledge regarding the video analyzing module implementation.
As regards the organizational issues, this part of the event was led by Mikołaj Leszczuk and Jan Derkacz who explained the recommendation of the Ethics Board regarding field tests conducting. Consequently, all field-testing should only be undertaken after fully informed consent has been obtained from all the human participants involved in this field-testing and in locations which are made inaccessible to the general public during the course of the experiment.
