288 students answered the questionnaire and were also free to express their own opinion.

RESULTS:
81 per cent of the students would support research on intelligent monitoring cameras, which allow automatic detection of threats such as robbery, assault, vandalism. About one tenth of the students (10%) would not support it. The rest had no opinion on the matter.

A vast majority of the students (74%) thought it was appropriate to perform the Internet research in order to detect acts of violence, child pornography, or preparations for terrorist attack.

85% of the students opted for conducting scientific research aimed at improving the safety of citizens. 9 per cent of the students did not have an opinion on the matter. Even fewer (7%) thought it was not appropriate to do so.
